Carrer Cabinets is the modern evolution of a company that has its basis established on the values and traditions of four generations of woodworking craftsmen dating back to great grandfathers, grandfathers, fathers and now the current generation.
The name Carrer dates back over a century as a nick name given to the family of the great grandfather who were renowned for their skills and excellence in making carts. “Carrer” is a corruption of the local Northern European name for “the Cartwright” and endures to this day. The nick name “Carrer” has lasted through the generations even as the family diversified into other fields of endeavour such as construction of professional fishing boats, industrial coopering and then more than 68 years ago into Australia with joinery, fit out and other precision timber craftsmanship including work in some of Adelaide’s iconic and historic locations.
The essence is that the family takes pride in producing quality crafted timber based products that this current generation has extended into Carrer Cabinets.
